Ann Marie Walsh is the principle of waterfallYoga

Every day there is an opportunity to be better than the previous day. It is easy to get busy and neglect our health and well-being. I value health, happiness, and prosperity so much that when I make decisions I check in with myself to ensure the outcome supports the three values.

I lead a healthy lifestyle that includes time with family, friends, reading, walking, hiking, cooking, and writing. Other activities include yoga and meditation; I practice every day and spend a part of each weekend in stillness and silence to hear clearly the wisdom of my heart.

Willow is my trusted companion; we spend a lot of time together both on and off the mat. The lessons I learn from Willow are many; eat when you are hungry, drink lots of water, walk, run and play; jump in the leaves and get dirty every now and again. Willow reminds me to take time to settle into the mat, let the body relax and sink into a Savasana to have the energy to get outside and do it all again.

I feel tremendous gratitude and happiness for my life; it is because of this that I feel compelled to teach yoga and meditation. There is an intimate relationship within ourselves as we move into the practice of yoga including meditation. Our mat is what I feel a ‘sacred’ place to unwind, relax, and open all aspects of who we are to explore the deeper connection of who we are capable of being. It is exciting to know that when we meet on the mat to practice we are there for ourselves and yet in being there we connect together in breath, movement and stillness.

To connect with people to build community and friendship is also important to me. I love meeting people to share the joy and happiness of yoga and meditation. There is an opportunity for us to bring our lives together and in doing so we start to see and realize we are more alike than we are different.

What are the Benefits of Yoga?

Yoga has so much to offer. A regular yoga practice is one of the best things you can do for your body; it can release tension, improve circulation, build strength and stamina and support healthy digestion. The combination of yoga and meditation can also have a positive impact your emotional state, improving concentration, an increase in confidence, and reduction of stress symptoms such as insomnia, anxiety, fatigue, and depression.

Private Consultation – 1 hour session

New to yoga?  Meet with Ann to explore your goals and intentions for your practice. Through this consultation, we will discuss health concerns, evaluate current fitness and wellness strategies including yoga and meditation experience. It will be through this conversation and meeting that a plan for a practice will be designed taking into consideration your goal, intention and yoga ability. This first meeting is a great opportunity for dialogue and discussing any concerns you have about yoga and meditation. Dress appropriately to practice.  Price per session: $75.00

Private or Couple Yoga Practice – 1 hour 15 minute class

Prior to the private or series of lessons, a yoga assessment form is sent to the interested individual or couple and must be completed and returned five days prior to the first class. The information garnered from the assessment is used as the basis to create the customized individualized class or series.

Ann offers private customized classes to individuals and couples; you get to:

  • • Choose the class type (gentle Hatha flow, restorative, meditation, deep stretch relaxation)
  • • Establish individual goals (the purpose of your yoga)
  • • Explore and focus on the best modifications for your body
  • • Practice, move, explore, experiment, laugh and relax

Price per class: Individual – $65.00, Couples – $80.00

Ann is a regular yoga instructor at TARA ZORN FITNESS, her classes are as follows:
Restorative Yoga – Monday 7:30 – 8:30pm
Body and Spirit – Tuesday and Thursday 7:30 – 8:30pm this class combines bodyweight training taught by Tara, followed by stretches and relaxation by Ann.
Hatha Yoga – Saturday 9:00 – 10:00am

“As a personal trainer, I am committed to living a balanced life! Each day I bring attention and compassion to my two children, business and clients. My belief system is quite simple as I live and work in an environment that consistently demonstrates encouragement, excitement, and kindness. Health and fitness is a priority for my children and me. In fact, we participate in activity daily whether it is a walk in the park, cycling, hiking, dance, or hockey. We balance out the activity with relaxation and rest. As a result, I have built this business with a vision to help improve people’s lives to be more active and strong; while creating balance.

I offer a variety of services to clients. The support and training I provide is designed in a way that incorporates fun, challenge, and intensity. Each client receives personalized attention based on their fitness needs. It is important for me to motivate and encourage each person to meet their fitness and health goals. In doing so I can adapt and correct posture, modify techniques, change out practices and watch in admiration as clients gain strength, stamina and endurance.

As a single parent and entrepreneur, I realize the value of healthy living. I chose to invest in my health to be the role model and best parent I can be for my children. Additionally, I invest in my health to communicate, motivate, and work with individuals and groups so they too can benefit from my experience and dedication.
